Reverse Osmosis Membrane
A reverse osmosis (RO) membrane is a fine, semipermeable filter that uses pressure to force water molecules through, separating them from larger dissolved salts, chemicals, bacteria, and other impurities, creating purified water. Constructed from thin layers, often including a polyester support and a polyamide barrier, it allows water to pass while blocking contaminants, making it crucial for desalination, drinking water purification, and industrial applications.
