Nanofiltration (NF) membranes are pressure-driven filtration devices with properties between ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO). They are characterized by a pore size range of approximately 0.1 to 10 nanometers (0.001–0.01 µm), allowing them to selectively remove multivalent ions while retaining some beneficial monovalent minerals
The nanofiltration series products have extremely low operating pressure, which cangreatly save the operating cost of equipment or systems. They are suitable for desalina-tion of water with a salt content of less than 500 mg/L, removing almost all bacteria, vi-ruses, microorganisms and macromolecular organic matter, while having a high removalrate for antibiotics, insecticides, pesticides, heavy metals and most divalent and aboveions, while retaining some beneficial nutritional minerals and small molecules such assodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and metasilicic acid. They are mainly used insmall water purification systems such as household/commercial water purification, drink-ing water in buildings and office areas.
