An FR (Fouling Resistant) Reverse Osmosis Membrane Element is a specialized RO membrane designed for brackish water treatment, featuring surface modifications (like increased hydrophilicity and smoother, charged surfaces) and wider feed channels to resist fouling from colloids and organics, offering high flux, excellent salt rejection, and enhanced cleanability for industrial and municipal water purification, often replacing traditional elements directly for cost-effective, high-performance filtration.
It is mainly used for wastewater reuse and water inlet is highlypolluted surface water. In view of poor water quality condi-tions, a wide water inlet channel network design is adopted tomake it easier to clean. At the same time, a special process isused to treat the membrane surface, which changes thecharge and smoothness of the membrane surface, increasesthe hydrophilicity of the membrane surface, reduces the at-tachment of pollutants and microorganisms on the membranesurface, and has stronger resistance to scaling and organic andmicrobial pollution, thereby reducing the pollution rate ofmembrane elements and extending the service life.
