DTRO (Disc Tube Reverse Osmosis) is a robust membrane technology for treating highly polluted, high-salt industrial wastewater, featuring a unique stacked disc design with deflectors that create turbulence, preventing fouling and allowing for high operating pressures (up to 120 bar) and high recovery rates, ideal for applications like landfill leachate and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems. This specialized structure, unlike traditional spiral membranes, uses an open flow path, making it excellent for harsh conditions where conventional membranes fail, offering high efficiency, self-cleaning, and lower energy use for challenging water treatment.
DTRO is a disc-tube reverse osmosis membrane technology,and its core components are composed of a set of reverse os-mosis membranes, water inlet channels, compression plates,membrane support plates and central tie rods. The mainprinciple of this technology is to apply pressure to makewater molecules pass through the reverse osmosis mem-brane, while retaining impurities such as salt and organicnatter, thereby achieving water purification and separation.DTRO process: After the raw water enters the membrane as-sembly, it enters the other side of the membrane through themembrane surface under the action of pressure and flowsout through the guide plate. Due to the selective permeabili-ty of the membrane, water molecules can pass through themembrane, while impurities such as salt and organic matterare retained in the raw water. During operation, due to thespecial design of the water inlet channel, guide plate andmembrane, the water flow forms a turbulent state on themembrane surface, reducing the influence of concentrationpolarization and improving the water permeability and waterquality of the membrane.
